Hello! I’m Aimee (she/her), a registered psychologist interested in helping you lead a richer, fuller life. I aim to provide a warm, creative and inquisitive atmosphere to explore concerns, overcome stressful life events and tap into the strength and clarity you hold within.

As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I recognise the unique strengths and challenges of those who might not fit the general mold. My therapeutic style is based on the principle of ‘organicity’, referring to a respect for each individual’s innate capacity for healing and natural movement towards growth. I encourage you to be curious about the process of therapy and to set the pace and limit of change that feels right for you.

I use a range of therapeutic approaches that include Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Psychodynamic theory.

I offer therapy for conditions such as depression, anxiety, interpersonal challenges, adult attachment issues and trauma. Irrespective of the approach applied, I will always dedicate myself to improving your quality of life by fostering within you a stronger sense of purpose and resilience.

I hold a bachelors degree in English (majoring in creative writing) and a graduate diploma (honours) in Psychological Science. I was born in Sydney, and raised as a beach bum, until my teenage gothic phase… but now enjoy the beach again.

I work with individuals who are 16+ years of age.

Some things I enjoy include:

  • Cats

  • Watching the light and weather change

  • 1970s cinema

  • Dancing to Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush

  • “Treat everyone you meet like God in drag.” - Ram Dass
